Camino de Cruces: Your country
home in the heart of the city

These beautiful country houses are located les than 15 minutes from downtown Panama City.

There is no doubt that Panama is a blessed country in which man and nature coexist in perfect harmony. Its thriving capital city, considered by many the "Miami of the South" prospers thanks to its role in international commerce, but by no means forgets to protect its lungs –the hundreds of acres of green, tropical forests that flank the city to the north.

This unique combination of greeness and world-class amenities has prompted many foreign families and retirees to purchase second homes in Panama. With this growing population in mind, four of the most prestigious architecture firms in Panama have joined forces to launch Parque Residencial Camino de Cruces, an exclusive residential park located in the forested areas northwest of El Dorado shopping center, on Friendship Road.

Camino de Cruces is Panama's first, truly-ecological residential project. Its builders envisioned it as a green community with no shortage of trees. Jessica Aranda, a representative of Camino de Cruces, said: "In most projects, builders topple down most of the vegetation and modify the topography". We have left things just as they were".

The project calls for 96 residences on parcels ranging between 800 and 1,500 square meters. In many cases, the builders have had to push back the construction line of the houses in order to preserve the trees.

Santa Monica, one of the project's largest models.

Houses at Camino de Cruces are huge. Owners may choose between three and four-bedroom mansions built in six different models. These are Santa Lucía (354 square meters), Santa Catalina (366 square meters), Santa Carolina (406 or 426 square meters), Santa Elena (466 square meters), Santa Mónica (516 square meters) and Santa María La Antigua (544 square meters). Prices start at US$290,000.00

The project also calls for a 1.5 hectare park including tennis and basket ball courts, a gazebo, picnic facilities, putting greens, play areas for children and a nature trail.

Named after the adjacent national park, Camino de Cruces is home to many of the bird species that inhabit the Panama Canal watershed. There are also monkeys, squirrels and cunamundees and colorful butterflies..

Camino de Cruces is a gated community offering 24-hour security (with well-trained personnel and surveillance cameras). Amazingly, this peaceful environment is only minutes away from the bustling shopping centers of the El Dorado area, the Metropolitan Nature Park, transport facilities (Marcos A. Gelabert Airport and the National Bus Station) and prestigious educational institutions.
