The Ministry
of Foreign Affairs has announced, that Panama will host the 4th Summit
of Chiefs of State and Government of the Association of Caribbean
States (AEC). Entitled "AEC: the Realization of a Vision".
The event will take place July 26-29 and will address regional commercial
development, transportation, and tourism, among other topics.
The Association
of Caribbean States (AEC) is an advisory, conciliatory and cooperation
entity providing regional assistance in the areas of commerce, transport,
sustainable tourism and natural disasters. It comprises 25 full member-States,
three associate countries and 17 foreign observers.
