Concerts
representing all types of musical genres, dog shows, folklore performances
and round-the-clock dancing are some of the activities prepared
for this year's Azuero International Fair, in La Villa in the province
of Los Santos, April 22-May 2.
The fair, which will
include exhibits from a number of Latin American countries, will
be the last in the long series of regional fairs which every year
take place during Panama's dry season (January-April)
La Villa is a four-hour
drive from Panama City. To get there, visitors can rent a car and
drive westward on the Pan-American Highway to the town of Divisa,
where drivers will need to turn left at the intersection toward
the Azuero Peninsula. An excellent bus service links Panama City
to La Villa, Chitré (the largest city in Azuero) and other
communities of the area departing from the Gran Terminal de Transporte,
located in Albrook.
