The beautiful golf course at Vista Mar Golf and Country Club on the
Pacific Beach close to San Carlos is open for business.

The course, with views of the Pacific to the south and the mountains of the Cordillera to the north, is the scenic jewel at the Vista Mar Golf and Beach Resort residential project with hundreds of homes in beach villas, town houses and condos.

The 18 hole, par 72, 7,273 yard championship course, designed by J. Michael Poellot is not just for residents.

" Golfers are invited to apply for non-resident membership", said Mr David E. Pate, the club’s general manager. " This will include all the facilities such as tennis courts, clubhouse facil-ities, tournaments and special events".

The course has opened with nine holes playable. Members have access to the Beach Club with its bar, restaurant for casual, fine dining and pool.

The clubhouse will be built in phases, based on membership and real estate sales. Soon to come will be a pro shop and banqueting facilities, spa and fitness center as well as private members’ bar and more restaurants.

The remaining 9 holes will be completed by the end of 2008. Facilities will include a dual directional driving range. A PGA golf professional will be on hand and players will enjoy the luxury of an on-course beverage service.

Hundreds of palms have been planted on the scenic and challenging course.

Vista Mar is just over an hour from Panama City. It is a project of the well-known Shahani Group.
