Go yachting, never leave the dock

There's "still" room aboard
the La Garota

The La Garota is San Blas sailing's latest aquisition.

La Garota is a new Brazilian schooner brought to Panama by the yacht tour charter com-pany, San Blas Sailing, and it’s available to rent for parties and other events.

The schooner, docked in the Balboa Yacht Club with a close view of the Bridge of the Americas and the Panama Canal, is part of San Blas Sailing’s “still yacht-ing” idea. “Still yachting” is the eco-friendly answer to fossil fuel wasting, where guests board the vessel, enjoy all the amenities of a trip to sea, but never leave the dock.

“Still yachting” helps keep the environment clean and also allows guests to board and exit the ship at their will. So if anyone begins to feel queasy, blame it on the drinks and not seasickness.

“It’s a perfect place to take a date and watch the sunset over the water,” according to a San Blas Sailing representative.

San Blas sailing is the old-est charter company in Panama, founded in 1997. The company has a vast knowledge of the San Blas archipelago and is the only company to work with and have special privileges with the Kuna Indians.

The company has tours for all types of people; with lengths ranging from afternoon cruises to 21-day adventures. The cost for a spot in La Garota is $50 a couple and for more information, please write to info@lagarota.com or call us at 507-314-1800.
