Ladies on the Panama Pacific coast around Coronado have published a nude calendar featuring women over fifty to raise money for local charities. According to Louise Belisle, “It all started at a party in Coronado where Sandy Heidemann and a friend were joking and talking about how crazy it would be to do a ‘nudie’ calendar.”

The proceeds will go to cancer research and other charities around Coronado. The calendar will be on sale at the Coronado Social Association’s Craft and Bake sale (Nov. 14 at the Equestrian Center restaurant) tucked in among the custom made jewelry and pies.

The “Coronado Assettes” calendar organizer Sandy Heideman conviced a few friends to join the cause over lunch. They went on to recruit other women for the project. The ground rules were simple: ladies had to be over fifty and look directly into the camera.

Jamuna Burry, the publisher of www.playacommunity.com was the photographer. The Cornado Assettes gals learned all sorts of lessons through their nude photography adventure, as a thunderstorm interrupted a “Lady Godiva” theme where the model was mounted on a large jittery horse “bare back” with the essentials discreetly covered. Another model learned the true meaning of buoyancy in a hot tub shoot.
