Christmas Bazaar Donations
St. Luke’s Episcopal Cathedral, of Cerro Ancón, is holdings its annual Christmas Bazaar on Friday, December 4 and Saturday December 5, 2009. You can help them help others by donating gently used items, clothing (especially children’s clothes), shoes and toys. They also need baby food jars, especially the junior size. UK investment forum
The British Embassy of Panama informed The Visitor that the second annual promotional forum Britannica 2009 will be held on November 19 at the Bristol Hotel from noon to 6:00 p.m. Ms. Susan Haird, Deputy CEO of UK Trade & Investment, will fly in from London to be the VIP keynote speaker. She will provide valuable insight on the uniqueness of British businesses operating in the global economy and why the UK continues to be the best location from where to springboard a business into world markets.
This year’s event will be much different from last years, report organizers. Discussion panels will provide a forum for specific topics related to the Panamanian economy. In the evening, an exclusive reception will be held at the residence of His Excellency Richard Austen, British Ambassador.
