Extreme motor sports at Figali

An exciting outdoor event will take place on Sunday, January 17 at the Figali Convention Center. The Mas Movil Extreme Drift and Freeystyle presentation will showcase six extreme freesytle motorcyclists and four race car drivers from the US in an all-day event that will also feature live music by national groups all day long and a bikini concert just after sundown.

The event begins at 1:00 p.m. and will feature three thirty-minute motorcycle jump shows and four drift shows, where pro drivers of Mazda RX models and Nissan 240 SXs will show off how much smoke they can raise while skidding around corners. Every city, village and region in Panama has its own annual religious celebration dedicated to a patron saint. These festivals provide a colorful and charming way to experience local traditions and beliefs.

Big Saturday Jazz Fest concert in Casco Viejo

The Panama Jazz Festival is being celebrated through Saturday evening. There are still several great concerts to be enjoyed, including the big free Saturday concert in Plaza Catedral in Casco Viejo, the Old Quarter of the capital. This area of the city receives thousands and thousands of visitors who come for more than just the music. The narrow streets will be filled with art, handicrafts and food and beverage for sale. The grand finale of the Jazz Festival will take place at the Hotel El Panama on Saturday night.
