BOQUETE

Amigos: Boquete’s best breakfast and lunch, good and hearty meals with bacon and pan fries. Canadian owners know how a breakfast should be served. Waitress serves bottomless coffee pot.

Art Café La Crepe: Situated on the main street, this colorful café serves French cuisine. Menu specialities change daily but the crepes are a constant. Our favorite – the Crepes Norwegienne with spinach and smoked salmon. The adjacent art gallery gives it its name.

Hotel Panamonte: Fine dining in unpretentious elegance and with old-world, courteous service.

Sabor Escondido: At Valle Escondido. Excellent food and service plus beautiful surroundings makes it top-class.

Palo Alto: Is situated on the banks of the Caldera River with pleasant views and great food.

Machu Pichu: Authentic Peruvian cuisine. High-class dining at very affordable rates: Filet Mignon, Lobster and Seafood skillfully prepared by master chef: Aristoteles.

Hotel Fundadores: Offers good, simple food in homely surroundings.

Tierra Madre: Situated at boutique hotel Rancho de Caldera, fifteen minutes from Boquete, this restaurant offers a magnificent view of the surrounding mountains, complemented by an equally fine menu concentrating on ethnic dishes created from fresh local produce.

Zanzibar Bar: The place to round off a night’s entertainment with a late night drink or two. North African style décor, reminiscent of the movie Casablanca. Soft lights and soulful jazz music make this an intimate and romantic location. They have separate smoking section and they serve Guinness.

Wine Bar & Caffe Pomodoro at the Valle del Río Hotel. Riverside dining with emphasis on Italian cuisine.

VOLCAN

Bokados: Next to the Romero supermarket, in the heart of Volcan. Specializing in rotisserie chicken, hamburgers and pasta.

Castillo Restaurant: Open at 6.30 a.m. for breakfast and busy throughout the day. Bacon, banana pancakes and hojaldres are staples.

Kfe Essenzia: A coffee and sandwich restaurant serving Janson Family Coffee as frothy latte’s. Weekends, they have Volcan’s only salad smorgasbord, and as a reward for eating healthy you can indulge in their home made desserts.

Hotel Bambito: Luxurious and tasteful decor with international style cuisine. A safe bet for breakfast lunch or dinner.

Hotel Dos Rios: Is a pizzeria with excellent pasta dishes as well.

Il Forno: Cozy, romantic Italian place. Locals rate the food as "excellent".

Las Brisas: Old-style bar, walled garden patio and international food.

DAVID

Gran Hotel Nacional: David’s fine hotel offers a coffee shop and restaurant with an international menu. Their daily lunch buffet is popular as is the Sunday brunch. There is also a pizzeria whose excellence is attested to by its enthusiastic local clientele and from 5:00 p.m. a barbecue restaurant in the gardens.

Hotel Puerta del Sol: Has a comfortable restaurant and ample menu. Owners and manager are trained chefs.

Tamburrelli Country: Italian style cuisine served in a modern setting. Try the beef or chicken gyros, Greek-style food wrapped in a pita pocket and covered with delicious yogurt.

Restaurante La Tipica: Features Chinese smorgasbord in a ranch-style setting.

Bernard’s: At David’s Enrique Malek airport and a newly opened branch down-town has an extensive menu which includes Thai, Mexican, Indian and Continental fare.
