Panama tries hard not
to disappoint anyone who wishes to squander his substance in riotous
living or the pursuit of pleasures after the sun goes down. A
wide selection of activities is available.
The following is a list of some of the night-time places.
LAS BOVEDAS. This
very special restaurant and bar in San Felipe, the Old Quarter
(Casco Viejo) offers live music Friday and Saturday from 9:00p.m.
Singer Ricardo Velasquez performs.
ELITE II. Located
on Calle 50. Tel.: (507) 263-6890. Elite II offers continuous
shows and the best “Open Bar” in town every Monday,
Wednesday and Saturday (only $25.00 per person) in the company
of beautiful girls.
LAS TINAJAS. This
well known restaurant has a large salon specially designed for
cabaret dining; the cabaret in this case being a lively show by
typical dance groups. Shows last an hour or more and are on Tuesday,
Thursday, Friday and Saturday starting at 9 p.m. The show is lively
and very professional.
LE PALACE. Opposite
the Executive Hotel. Monday to Saturday continuous shows each
night from 9:45p.m. Striptease Parisian-style, beautiful girls,
elegant decor.
HOTEL EL PANAMA.
Plenty of action. Plenty of atmosphere. The Casino is open 24
hours. The Coco Club pub is open from 5 p.m. until the small hours
every day except Sunday with live music Friday and Saturday. The
Pool Bar features live music every day.
PAVO REAL. A local
pub for many Panamanians and expatriates who enjoy the convivial
atmosphere. For many the attraction is a game of darts or pool.
For others it is the music. A light “pub” menu is
available as well as steaks, fish, pasta and hamburgers.
Live music featuring invited artists is presented at various
times each week.
Happy Hour every day is from 4:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and special
promotions. The Pavo Real (translation The Peacock) serves traditional
English dishes such as “fish & chips”. Closed
on Sundays.
PENCAS. On Amador
Causeway offers a folklore dance spectacle Wednesdays at 8:00p.m.
accompanied by a buffet of typical Panamanian fare.
TAKE FIVE. Jazz
and wine bar below the Casco Viejo Restaurant opposite the old
Union Club in San Felipe, the Old Quarter. Open every night except
Sunday, offering the best of classical jazz. Wednesday, Thursday,
Friday and Saturday are special nights featuring invited jazz
bands.

LA CAZUELA. On
Via Venetto close to the El Panama Hotel is a “Gentlemen’s
Club” with good shows.
CLUB FENIX. Adding
to the night life scene with colorful shows, it bills itself as
“a venue for single gentlemen”.
CASINOS. Everywhere
Majestic Casino at Multicentro mall, has international shows,
such as bolero dancers from Cuba, “vallenatos” from
Colombia and comedy shows from Mexico.

CRISTAL MOON. Panama
City’s newest gentlemen’s club offers American-style
shows each night on six glittering stages. Beautiful girls in
fascinating costumes. Secure, underground and state-of-the-art
security. Located on Plaza Cinco de Mayo, in downtown Panama City.

SAHARA. If you
are into Rock music, the Sahara is for you. Live bands, offering
music from the 1960’s through the present, perform Wednesdays
through Saturdays at midnight. The party ends when the last person
leaves. Sahara, one of the hottest entertainment venues in town,
